Atari mod #2 – power LED

This is post #2 in my Modding the Atari 2600 series.

It’s been many years since I’ve used a soldering iron or worked with chips and pin-outs and resistors, so I wanted to start my modding with something simple. I decided to add a power indicator LED to my Atari. After burning up 3 LEDs in testing (I forgot to add an inline resistor), I successfully added a yellow LED power indicator!

I followed the instructions on VintageGamingAndMore.com, which were really great. Kudos to them. Here’s a pic of the mod. Next, I will add audio in post #3.
